High Speed Diesel (also known as ‘Solar’) is produced from the fractional distillation of crude oil between 160o C and 350o C at atmospheric pressure. The principal measure of diesel fuel quality is its cetane number. TWU’s High Speed Diesel has cetane number of 51. A higher cetane number indicates that the fuel ignites more readily when sprayed into hot compressed air.
Advantages of HSD TWU:
- High Cetane Number, complete and clean combustion.
- Low water and sulfur content, minimizes the risk of corrosion.
- Yellow and clear TWU HSD color.
Use of TWU HSD:
- For high speed diesel engines (> 1,000 rpm).
- Generators, Ship Engines, Heavy Equipment and Diesel Cars
